Colorado weather: Sunny, clear skies Monday with higher temperatures

Another warm, sunny day is in store for Colorado to start out the work week.

The mountains and foothills will experience cooler, fall-like weather with temperatures in the 60s and 70s, according to the National Weather Service.

The Denver Metro will get the same sunshine and clear skies, but temperature highs will reach 85 degrees.

City temperatures will dip down to 50 degrees overnight, before returning to the high-80s Tuesday, forecasters said.

According to NWS forecasters, the pattern of low overnight weather and hot daytime temperatures is expected to continue through the weekend. Abundant sun, clear conditions and light breezes are also expected to remain stable across the state throughout the week.

Although temperatures are currently lower in Colorado’s mountains and foothills than in Denver, NWS forecasters said the entire state is experiencing well above normal temperatures for this time of year.

Chances of rain, and a slight cool down to temperature highs in the low-80s, should return over the weekend, according to NWS.
