A British tourist has attracted criticism for jumping into the pool at Elvis Presley's former home.
Tommy Purcell was filmed stepping over a gate with a sign saying "RESTRICTED AREA: Do Not Enter" before walking over to the pool at the King of Rock and Roll's luxury Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee.
Purcell, who had already removed his shirt, then placed his foot on the diving board, attracting attention from a security guard who ran over to stop him โ but it was too late and he leapt into the pool.

The controversial clip was posted to TikTok by Purcell's wife, Nanny Murphy, on July 5, along with the caption: "My husband jumped into Elvis pool," followed by emojis of a swimmer and a cry-laughing face.
In the video, which has been viewed more than 14million times, a woman's voice could be heard saying: "You're not allowed in there! You're not allowed to do that!"
Purcell can then be heard asking: "You serious?" as he rejoins the tour group.
Murphy then chimes in: "Elvis didn't stop anyone!"
One critic responded to the clip stating: "How is this funny? People are so disrespectful and I hope he got arrested."

But the comment drew attention from Murphy, who responded with another TikTok insisting her husband did nothing wrong.
"Elvis caught someone jumping in his pool once and never stopped them. He never got them arrested, told them to stay in the pool," she said.
"We did get escorted because they don't want anyone else to get the idea to jump into it. And we weren't banned, so, yeah. How is that disrespectful?" before adding: "By the way, we love Elvis," and branding the commenter "jealous".
In another video, the couple could be seen driving a pick-up truck along the path leading up to Elvis house.
The video, named "Yes I drove on Elvis driveway," ended with a security guard heading towards the car, presumably in a bid to stop the rogue couple.
Elvis' mansion is a popular destination for fans of the famous singer, but a visit doesn't come cheap.
The most affordable tickets cost ยฃ63.75, while the VIP tour will set you back at least ยฃ100 โ and can cost up to ยฃ172.
Murphy and Purcell have been travelling across the US for some time now, but a post by Murphy โ who creates frequent content for TikTok โ says the pair are originally from the UK.
It appears the couple have visited Elvis' home before, with Murphy having uploaded a video captioned "Elvis daughter funeral." where she could be seen pouting.
The video then pans to the Meditation Garden memorial which was set up for Lisa Marie Presley, the singer's only child who died in January of this year aged 54.
