It also scored 0\/10 for shop fronts and a 2\/10 score for historic architecture. Other areas that struggled are Telford in Shropshire, Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales and Stanley, County Durham. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31489468.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_UK-Staves-Off-Recession-Threat-for-Now-With-Stagnant-Quarter.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article31477909.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s458\/0_runcorn.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p> &apos;Empty&apos; UK shopping centre blasted for &apos;no shops&apos; after Tesco and The Range leave<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/@trinitymirrordigital\/chameleon-branding\/publications\/dailystar\/img\/logo-schema-dailystar.png\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In contrast, Lewes in East Sussex, scored an impressive 46\/50 overall, earning it the title of the UK&apos;s prettiest town.
