Vladimir Putin’s notoriously tight inner circle believes the alleged death of Russia’s president is “the beginning of something new and good,” a Kremlin source has claimed.

The first bombshell claims over Putin came after a Telegram channel thought to be a led Kremlin insider claimed he had suffered a “cardiac arrest” at his private residence in Moscow, before later alleging the 71-year-old had died.

General SVR alleged the pro-Putin circle is negotiating how to create a shadow presidential power that would lead the country in place of him, using body doubles to create the illusion the Russian President is still alive.

Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov furiously dismissed the wild speculation over his deteriorating health and apparent death, while also slamming reports Putin had been using a body double to stand in for him as an “absurd hoax”.

But the Telegram channel is continuing to insist Russia’s president is dead, this time claiming his inner circle believes it could be the start of a new beginning following a devastating 20 months during Russia’s war in Ukraine.

The source has now said: “Those around the ‘president’ are no longer very worried and even consider Putin’s death the beginning of something new and good.

“Many are tired of the constantly prevailing theme of war and sanctions, and started talking about the possibility of peace negotiations, but, of course, on ‘favourable’ terms, which they cannot yet clearly formulate.

“In any case, the movement began, and the big political season began.”

The most astonishing claims about Putin came earlier this week when Telegram channel General SVR alleged: “No respect for the deceased.

“Putin’s corpse was placed in a freezer, which previously contained deep-frozen food, at the presidential residence in Valdai.

DON’T MISS:

“The doctors who took part in the treatment and resuscitation of Putin were distributed among several rooms in the residence and continue to be held by the president’s security service.”

Putin has been in power for more than 11 years and has been seen to be leading Russia’s ongoing war effort in Ukraine since the beginning of its eastern neighbour in February 2022/.

There have still continued to be persistent rumours about his deteriorating health, while the Kremlin has also cancelled several major upcoming appearances for the Russian president.

But in an apparent effort to seemingly dispel speculation around Putin’s possible death, the Kremlin released new pictures showing the president at work, where he was seen chairing a meeting with Security Council permanent members via video link.
