Spy chiefs are looking for spooks who are short enough to tail terrorists without being spotted.<\/p>\n
Security bosses have advertised for \u00a339,000-a-year \u00adsurveillance officers who won\u2019t stand out in a crowd. So lanky men and women need not apply. And anyone with eye-catching tattoos will also be turned down.<\/p>\n
An ad placed by the agency says: "Due to the nature of the work, we have certain \u00adphysical requirements that\u2019ll ensure you\u2019re suitable for the role. Certain distinguishing features (such as prominent hand, face or neck tattoos) could make you recognisable to someone under surveillance.<\/p>\n

"Male candidates need to be 6\u20192\u201d or under and females must be 5\u201910\u201d or under."<\/p>\n

The shadowy government department adds: "As a Mobile Surveillance Officer, you\u2019ll follow subjects who have been identified as a potential threat, such as terrorism or espionage.<\/p>\n
"Being able to blend into the background of whatever environment you\u2019re in is of paramount importance. You\u2019ll need to observe people and places, and put your safety and those of your colleagues first at all times."<\/p>\n

Spy organisations such as MI5 often put out calls for unlikely job candidates. Earlier this year the government agency announced it was looking for "chippies and plasterers" to help keep the nation safe.<\/p>\n
The advertisement said: "You will provide specialist building trade services for MI5. From carpentry and \u00adjoinery, to minor electrical works and plastering, you\u2019ll undertake a range of building tasks and \u00adcarry out work to a high \u00adstandard, often at short notice and under tight deadlines."<\/p>\n
