Visibility is really poor and it looks pretty post-apocalyptic. There are still loads of people on the beach though making the most of the warm weather &#8211; mental that people are actually swimming in the sea.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article30903549.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_WAL_Barry-Island-02.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Another person visiting Barry said they &quot;could not believe the humidity&quot;, as Swansea amd Cardiff Bay visitors experienced similar scenes.<\/p>\n<p>The Met Office said Wales would be &quot;a very warm, humid, mostly dry and sunny day\u201d but mentioned nothing of the fog that some beachgoers had experienced.<\/p>\n<p>Some parts of the UK hit even higher temperatures with the Met Office stating they believe today was the hottest day of the year so far.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article30903546.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_WAL_Cardiff-Bay.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article30903244.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s458\/2_Portugal-Green-List-Inclusion-Sees-Tourists-Return-To-Algarve-Region.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p> Family holiday resort now wild &apos;Ibiza on steroids&apos;
