Residents have kicked off about their town's wonky Christmas tree, which has been likened to the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
One resident said it looked as though it had been "plonked down without much care." Others in March, Cambridgeshire have labelled it “'ridiculous” and “slapdash”.
But the volunteers who put up the 30ft tree defended their work, claiming they didn't “physically choose” the tree. Instead, they say it was down to luck that they were given the wonky one from their supplier.

However, some locals think that the tree itself seems straight and just needs to be installed properly. The Christmas lights on the tree are due to be switched on tonight in March's Market Place, as reported by Mail Online.
However, some critical residents might not be keen on attending. One said: “I honestly don't like to moan and I am quite aware trees grown in different shapes and sizes – but I just feel if a job is worth doing it should be done properly”.
Another said: “I love Christmas trees but to be totally honest this looks like it's been plonked down without much care!”. They added that it looked 'wonky' and said its bottom branches need 'sorting out'.

A third said: “It does look a bit ridiculous to be fair. Maybe they're planning on straightening it before the lights switch on.” The group of volunteers who put up the tree admitted that people's reactions were "mixed," but they had been told that the tree is "as straight as it's going to be."
They explained that they ordered the tree early in the year but couldn't check it out in person. The committee added: 'However it's down to the supplier/luck as to what overall size/condition of tree we receive in the end."

Farmer's 'aggressive black cow' attacked OAP and tried to kill his dog on a footpath
March Town Council's town clerk, Sarah Lemmon, defended the tree, calling it "beautiful" and comparing it to Italy's famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Speaking to Cambridgeshire Live, she criticised those trying to "kill the spirit of Christmas."
There were also some supporters on social media. One said: “I have no issue with the tree – I think it's fantastic that we have one! I hope those that think the job could be done better will volunteer next year.”
