A teenager who raped a woman he had knocked unconscious has been jailed for 11 years.
Petru-Marian Bradu, of Gloucester, was convicted of attacking the victim by punching her in the head, causing her to lose consciousness. When she woke up he was raping her, GloucestershireLive reports.
During his trial, the jury at Gloucester Crown Court heard how brazen Bradu said "well she doesn't look like she's been raped" while speaking about CCTV footage of his victim after the attack on July 23, 2019.
Specialist officers were able to obtain DNA after the rape, but no matches came back on police systems.
It was only after Bradu, 19, was arrested for another crime that officers identified him.

He was jailed for nine years and rape and a further two years for assault, with both sentences to run consecutively. He must serve a minimum of two-thirds of the sentence and will be added to the sex offenders registers for life.
Investigating officer DC Steve Martin said: "This was a particularly vicious incident where the victim was targeted by a stranger who she had never met before.
"Stranger rapes are very rare in Gloucestershire however they can unfortunately happen and sadly but unsurprisingly the victim suffered considerably in terms of her mental health as a consequence of the incident.
"The victim has said that the fact that she was believed was incredibly important to her so now that justice has been achieved this will hopefully help her moving forward."
Ava Carpenter, manager at the NHS Foundation Trust's Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), which supported the victim, called the sentence "an outstanding result".
She said: "It's a true reflection of Gloucestershire Constabulary’s determination and commitment into this case.
"Following this serious sexual assault, arrangements were made for the victim to attend the SARC. We were able to offer immediate practical and emotional support, as well as medical care and a forensic examination.
"I’d like to pay tribute to the victim who showed immense bravery and personal strength during her time at SARC, and throughout the police investigation and trial."
