Terrorist who beheaded teacher over Mohammed cartoons given ‘hero’s funeral’

An evil terrorist who beheaded a French schoolteacher for showing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed was given a hero’s funeral in his hometown.

Footage circulated online showed hoards of mourners paying respect to vile killer Abdullakh Anzorov, 18, in his native village of Shalazi in the Russian province of Chechnya.

The body of the killer, who decapitated teacher Samuel Paty, was lauded as a "lion of Islam" as it was returned from France on Saturday.

Mourners at the funeral, dressed all in black and wearing face masks, packed together in the snow to bury the extremist "with honours".

Some 200 people attended the Muslim funeral, according to BAZA media.

Crowds changed "Allahu Akbar", meaning "God is Great" as they walked alongside the murderer's coffin, MailOnline reported.

A street was unofficially named after the teenage terrorist, said reports.

Along with the video, a message read: "The Lion of Islam has arrived to native soil today, and returned to the soil.

"No-one but Allah has strength and power."

Anzorov was branded a terrorist by French authorities after he brutally beheaded Mr Paty with a butcher knife in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine at around 5pm on October 17.

The Chechen-Russian refugee reportedly killed the teacher after he allegedly showed his pupils an image of the Prophet Mohammed.

In Islamic beliefs, it is not possible to view images of the prophet, as this is considering to lead to idolatry.

It is believed Mr Paty showed his class a naked drawing of the Prophet Mohammed in a class about freedom of expression – and gave any Muslim student permission to leave the room before revealing the image.

Authorities believe this was the motive for Anzorov to hunt down the teacher and kill him in an act of terrorism.

The Telegraph reports he tweeted an image of Mr Paty’s severed head along with the message: "From Abdullakh, the servant of Allah, to Macron, the leader of the infidels, I executed one of your hell dogs who dared to belittle Muhammad."

Attacker Anzorov was shot dead by police who responded to the murder on Friday.

He had not been known to intelligence services but had been granted a 10-year residency permit in France as a refugee in March.

Last month three pupils were charged with identifying Paty to Anzorov before the beheading.

Another was charged with lying that she had been present when he showed the cartoons.

French President Emmanuel Macron said the slaughter was "a typical Islamist terrorist attack", adding that "our compatriot was killed for teaching children freedom of speech".
