Teenage boy killed after being struck by vehicle in Aurora The Denver Post

A 15-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a vehicle in Aurora Sunday night, according to a news release from Aurora police.

At 6:15 p.m., Aurora police responded to the crash on South Chambers Road near East Hampden Circle. According to investigators, the boy was hit by a Suburu Forester that was heading northbound on Chambers Road when the boy “stepped into the pathway of the vehicle and was struck.”

The woman who was driving the Suburu stayed at the crash site when police arrived.

Police do not believe the vehicle was speeding. And drugs and alcohol “do not appear to be additional contributing factors,” according to the news release.
