Princess Eugenie plots Megxit 2.0 with Harry and Meghan coaxing her stateside

Princess Eugenie may be planning to follow in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's footsteps and make an escape to California with her husband and young family.

Sources close to the princess say the Sussexes are already sending through property recommendations.

It is believed Prince Andrew's youngest daughter may leave Blighty after the birth of her and husband Jack Brooksbank's second child, the pregnancy of which they just announced.

Eugenie and Harry have a close bond, with Harry writing in his hit memoir Spare that the 32-year-old and her husband were the first royals to meet Meghan.

MailOnline reports while Harry and Meghan have been sending the princess listings for properties near them in Montecito, Eugenie and her property developer husband are looking at places in West Hollywood in Los Angeles.

It is also believed Princess Eugenie and Jack will rent before committing to the US and buying a property.

A source told MailOnline: "With a growing family, it all feels like it is about new starts. This isn't just a pipe dream."

Currently the royal couple and their two-year-old son August split their time between the UK and Portugal, where Jack works with Discovery Land Company and property tycoon Mike Meldman.

However, the company has properties in the States as well as in Portugal, so it's likely Jack will be able to make a smooth transition into life across the pond.

Eugenie has already lived in America once before, from 2013 to 2015, when she worked at auction house Paddle8 in New York.

When Eugenie and Jack are in Britain, they stay in Frogmore House which Harry and Meghan previously lived in after the Queen gifted them the property.
