A Palestine supporter climbed Sheffield City Council’s Town Hall today, replacing the Israeli flag with the Palestinian flag.
The daring act, shared on videos across social media platforms, followed a decision by the council to raise the Israeli flag, sparking outrage among Palestinian supporters who gathered in large numbers for a march in Sheffield city centre.
Amidst the crowd, one individual decided to take matters into his own hands.
Scaling the heights of Sheffield Council’s town hall, the protester skilfully replaced the Israeli flag with the Palestinian flag.
Posting the video on X, The Sheffield Tribune wrote: “Other videos have now been shared which show the Palestinian flag was raised in the end.

“But more importantly, huge questions will now be asked about how the man was allowed to get up there — and stay there long enough to lower one flag and raise another — unchallenged.”
Israeli warplanes hammered the Gaza Strip neighbourhood-by-neighbourhood Tuesday, reducing buildings to rubble and sending people scrambling to find safety in the tiny, sealed-off territory now suffering severe retaliation for the deadly weekend attack by Hamas terrorists.
Humanitarian groups pleaded for the creation of corridors to get aid into Gaza and warned that hospitals overwhelmed with wounded people were running out of supplies.
