Meghan wanted to be queen bee of the royals amid staff clashes, expert claims

Meghan Markle wanted to be “queen bee” during her time inside Buckingham Palace and suffered “personality clashes” as a senior royal, according to explosive claims from a royal expert.

Commentator Katie Nicholl discussed allegations made in new book Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind The Crown that staff who worked for the Sussexes had described themselves as “survivors”.

Speaking toTrue Royalty TV'sThe Royal Beat, she explained the Duchess didn’t understand the pace of the Palace and wanted everything done very quickly.

She said: "I don't think the fact that Meghan sent early morning emails was actually a huge issue because the King will send late-night emails as well.

"But my understanding from the people that I spoke to, many of whom did work for the Sussexes, was that Meghan in particular would want everything done now.”

Nicholl alleged the former Suits actress wasn’t used to the workings of royal staff and this led to misunderstandings and conflict.

She added: "She expected an immediacy that went with those dawn emails so that she'd hatch an idea, want it executed by the next day, and didn’t quite get that the Palace worked at a different pace.

The Duchess, who returned to the UK alongside Prince Harry for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, was due to release a Netflix show with her husband that focused on the Royal Family.
