A man killed in Denver Sunday was identified Tuesday as 27-year-old Michael Arguello.
Arguello was shot and killed around 11:46 a.m. in the 1000 block of West 14th Avenue, according to Denver police.
A suspect in the killing has not been named and police have not released any information about a motive.
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information about the killing.
Arguello grew up in Denver and Thornton, and was a hard worker who was always striving to better his life, his godmother, Desirae Salazar-Sarabia, said Tuesday. He expressed himself through music, she said.
“A lot of the memories I have with him are writing lyrics — of his story, of things he’s witnessed, things he’s gone through and his perspective on life and limited opportunity,” she said.
She and his family don’t know what happened Sunday, but are hoping for answers, and for justice.
“That is just the top of all of our hearts, to understand what went on, what was going on,” she said.
