Influencer left screaming in agony and covered in blood after botched bum lift

An influencer has revealed the horror of getting a botched butt lift which left her in "indescribable agony" just hours after the op.

Rachel Velasco decided to go under the knife when she was 23.

But just hours after the surgery, she walked into the emergency room of Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA screaming and covered in blood.

“I’ve never been in so much pain, I feel like I’m dying,” she said in a video she took on her way to the hospital.

"All my stitches are burning. I keep passing out, like in and out of consciousness. I feel nauseous. I can barely speak. I need to get there immediately.”

Velasco told NBC News she had been planning the surgery, known as a Brazilian butt lift, for more than a year.

The operation, which tightens the waistline and plumps the buttocks, has become increasingly popular in recent years thanks in part to global stars like Kim Kardashian flaunting their designer behinds.

It is now thought to be the fastest-growing form of cosmetic surgery in the world.

For Velasco, who has thousands of followers on Instagram and an OnlyFans account, the choice was also a business decision, with her hoping her newly-sculpted behind would rake in more money.

The surgery involves cutting into and taking fat from one area of the patient’s body and injecting it into the buttocks, but it can be very dangerous and if the fat accidentally enters one of the large blood vessels found in that region as a clot can block blood flow to other parts of the body.

Luckily for Velasco, the operation itself went ok, but the pain afterwards was unbearable.

Unbeknownst to Velasco, the surgeon performing the operation had previously had her licence suspended for medical negligence.

And shockingly, when the operation began, Velsaco was fully conscious.

“I was fully awake during the BBL, which is kind of crazy,” she said.

“Like, if I go through my camera roll I was high off laughing gas, Snapchatting my friends. In the background, you hear my butt with fat getting injected into it.”

When Velasco went home she went to bed but awoke shortly after.

“I got home, I fell asleep for about three hours. Around 9 or 10 o’clock that night, I started to feel the worst pain of my entire life.”

Velasco begged her brother to take her to emergency services, where they gave her additional pain relief and sent her home again.

It was only after four days that Velasco stopped feeling the pain with the op leaving a four-inch scar on her stomach, which she says hasn’t gone away.

“I would have not done this if I would have known that I would have a scar and it would be this big hooplah,” Velasco said.

To make things worse, when Velasco got her before and after photos back, it showed that her appearance had barely changed.

“You cut my body open for what?” Velasco said.
