A hunt is underway for a hit-and-run driver who crashed into a police officer, living them with injuries to their lower body.
The driver of the suspects vehicle did not stop at the scene and police are now urgently looking to trace it.
Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene following reports of a crash involving a police officer at Dartmouth Park Hill on Thursday April 15.
The officer was standing outside a stationary police vehicle at the time of the hit-and-run, MyLondon reported, and had to be taken to hospital.
It is understood the police officer suffered injuries to his lower body, and the police vehicle was also damaged.
An update on the officer’s condition is expected later this evening and a crime scene remains in place.
Police have closed numerous roads in Camden, including Dartmouth Park Hill, Fortess Road, Tufnell Park Road and Junction Road.
