A 17-year-old girl has been accused of fatally shooting a pizza delivery driver after luring him to an empty house.
Teenager Jaelynn Billups and her boyfriend Alberto Vanmeter, 19, allegedly tried to rob the Domino's worker as he delivered their order to the abandoned address.
New dad, Joshua Ungersma, 37, was called to the property with a fake pizza order, in Indiana.
According to court documents, Mr Ungersma shot Vanmeter in self-defence has they attempted to rob him.
He then went across the street and asked someone to call the cops.
This is when Billups allegedly shot him, point blank, according to reports.
The 37-year-old leaves behind his six-month-old son Sebastian, stepson Logan, and wife Jenny.
Mr Ungersma's body was discovered by police on August 31 after they received reports about shots being fired.
Cops also found the body of Vanmeter with a Domino's pizza box.
He was lying on the ground next to two drinks and cash, it has been reported.
Witness and neighbour Patrick Gibson claims he heard shots and went outside.
He adds Mr Ungesma was uninjured at the time when he asked him to call the cops.
The new father told Mr Gibson he had been the victim of an attempted robbery, and a short while later Billups allegedly shot Mr Ungersma.
When cops arrived, Mr Ungersma's body was found with "a .38 S&W revolver in his pocket with the rounds fired," which he was permitted to carry.
Mr Ungersma's cause of death was determined due to multiple gunshot wounds, and Vanmeter's was due to a single gunshot wound.
Billups was arrested and charged with two counts of murder.
She was taken to Tippecanoe Superior Court and charged with killing Mr Ungersma and causing him to kill Vanmeter, reports Mail Online.
Along with this, the teen was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery, theft, pointing a firearm, and carrying a handgun without a licence.
The trial is set for February 23, 2021.
