Most Front Range residents will tell you the winter around here isn’t that bad. When referencing the mostly mild temperatures and sun between big storms, they’re talking about a week like the one we are about to have. Denver will hit highs in the 50s and stay sunny most of the coming week.
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will reach 53 degrees on Monday under sunny skies. Snow cover that remains from last week should have a good melt day before temperatures fall to 28 degrees overnight.
Tuesday will also be sunny, with a high of 51 degrees. Winds could kick up to 18 mph in the afternoon, and temperatures should fall to 25 degrees at night.
Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high near 50 degrees.
All chances for snow this week will stay in the mountains. On Monday, snow is possible for the highest passes and above the treeline. The hills could get a dusting overnight Wednesday into Thursday and then again Friday into Saturday.
