Denver police ask publics help in identifying sex assault suspect

Denver police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a sexual assault suspect.

About 8 a.m. on Aug. 16, an assault happened in the 1900 block of Arapahoe Street, according to the Denver Police Department. The same man is suspected of unlawful sexual contact at 12:15 p.m. July 29 in the 2200 block of Downing Street.

Police describe the suspect as a Black man, about 6′ 2″ tall with an “extremely” heavy build. He wears glasses and is possibly named Michael. The suspect frequents a downtown 7-Eleven store in the 1700 block of Champa Street and he frequently walks in the area.

Anyone with information on the suspect or who recognizes the man in photographs released by police is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
