Liverpool dentist Rohan Sahdev, who was dubbed the city’s “hottest dentist” after starting a rigorous exercise regimen, has been handed a lengthy driving ban after crashing his Mercedes with more than twice the legal alcohol limit in his blood.
Sahdev drove his Mercedes into another car on Aigburth Hall Road Liverpool last July. He then left his car before returning and being found by police around an hour later.
In court, last month, Sahdev argued that he was only over the legal limit because he had drunk alcohol in the aftermath of the crash but magistrates found him guilty.
He was sentenced at Liverpool Magistrates' Court today for drink driving and failing to stop after an accident.
Sahdev, of Rangemore Road was disqualified from driving for 20 months.
He was also fined £4,035 and ordered to pay £650 in costs and a £190 victim surcharge.
After shedding over two stone, and adding a significant layer muscle by following a strict diet Sahdev was featured in the Liverpool Echo talking about his six-day-a-week gym habit.
He said he was thinking of stepping up to the world of competitive bodybuilding but, he said, “I like the odd pint with my mates and I want balance so, for now, I’m happy with what I’m doing”.

Sahdev said in 2017 that temporarily cutting out alcohol had been one of the things that allowed him to lose almost two stone and build muscle.
Yet prosecutors said he was well over the limit when the car he was driving collided with a black Audi on July 4, 2020, and appeared drunk when found by members of the public.
Breathalyser testing by the police found he had a blood alcohol level of 81 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of blood, more than double the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.
