Princess Anne's daughter Zara Tindall is pregnant with her third child.

Her husband, rugby star Mike Tindall, revealed the good news in the latest episode of his podcast The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.

"It's been a good week for me, had a little scan last week – third Tindall on its way," the former England Rugby player said.

The couple already have two daughters, six-year-old Mia and two-year-old Lena.

It remains unknown whether their third child will be a boy or a girl.

Zara, 39, has also spoken about the two traumatic miscarriages she has suffered in the past.

After giving birth to Lena she said: "I think that the hardest thing in our situation, is that everyone knew.

"And very much when things like that happen, normally it's just your family and friends, but unfortunately everyone knew about it.

"Actually, I had so many letters saying: 'I'm so sorry, we've been through the same thing', which was incredible and thank you to all those people.

"But it just showed how often it does happen and I have a very supportive family, Mike's incredible."

She stressed that miscarriages are also tough for men who can feel "helpless" when faced with the devastating loss.

"It's very different for us because we're carrying the child, but for guys I guess it's kind of that helpless feeling, which must be incredibly high and horrible for them.

"At the end of the day they've still lost a child too."
